Club Med Cherating Arrival Information: What You Need to Know Before You Go

Ready for your beach escape to Club Med Cherating? You’re in for a relaxing, sun-soaked getaway. But before you switch on holiday mode, Club Med Cherating arrival information isn’t something most people think about until the last minute, but trust us, knowing what to expect can make your first day a whole lot smoother.

What To Pack for Club Med Cherating

Packing smart helps you relax sooner. Here’s what you’ll want to bring along:

  • Light sportswear and comfortable clothes
  • Swimwear and flip-flops
  • Sports shoes
  • Sunglasses and a few casual evening outfits
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Toiletries, and phone charger
  • Prescription medication (if required)
  • Proof of up-to-date vaccination for children under 4 years old attending Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med

Pack light, but smart, you’ll probably spend half the time in swimwear or sports wear anyway.

Rooming at Club Med Cherating

If you’ve booked a Superior Room or Superior Room Seaside, you’ll find two single beds in the room. These can be joined together to make a double or kept separate as two singles, depending on what suits you best.

If the default bed setup isn’t what you prefer, no worries, just let the Club Med GO team know when you arrive. They’re more than happy to help arrange it the way you want.

Now, if you’ve booked a Suite, the setup is a little different. Suites come with one double bed that is fixed and cannot be separated. So if you’re travelling with someone you’d prefer not to share a bed with, it’s good to keep that in mind when booking.

One more detail: all rooms now come with bidets in the toilets. Not something every resort includes, but a nice little touch that many guests appreciate.

EV Charging Station Nearby

There is currently no EV charging station inside Club Med Cherating, but the nearest one is just a 5-minute drive away. Here is the location on Google Maps. If you’re driving an electric car, it’s worth stopping there to charge up before entering the resort.

If you’re driving in from Kuala Lumpur, here are a few charging stops along the highway you can plan for:

  • Petronas Genting Sempah
  • Shell Temerloh R&R
  • Petronas Gambang R&R

If you miss those, you might need to make a detour into Kuantan to top up your charge before arriving at the resort. Best to plan ahead, especially during peak travel times.

Group Arrival At Club Med Cherating

If you’re arriving as a group at the same time, and you booked your stay with Travelution Holidays, please let us know in advance. Share your:

  • Estimated arrival time
  • Type of transportation
  • Vehicle registration numbers

This helps the resort prepare and ensures there are enough Club Med GOs at the lobby to welcome and assist your group. It really makes the whole check-in process smoother and less stressful for everyone involved.

Check-In Time & Early Arrival

Check-in officially starts at 3 PM. If you want to arrive earlier with access to facilities and lunch, there is an early arrival fee:

  • MYR180 per adult
  • MYR140 per teen (12-17 years)
  • MYR110 per child (4-11 years)

This includes lunch and use of the resort before your room is ready. If you’re a Club Med Silver, Gold, or Platinum member, you’re in luck, the early arrival fee is waived.

Arrival Procedure

When you reach the entrance gate, just show your Club Med booking confirmation (a soft copy on your phone is fine) to the security guard. That’s all you need for entry. No printouts required.

However, if several guests are checking in at the same time, there may be a short wait at the security gate. The Club Med Cherating lobby is quite small, so the team may temporarily hold incoming vehicles at the entrance. This gives time for earlier guests to drop off passengers and luggage and clear the lobby area before letting the next cars through.

It’s a safety and space management thing, and the GOs will do their best to keep everything moving smoothly.

Parking at the Resort

Yes, parking is available inside Club Med Cherating. It’s an open-air parking area, located just a short walk from the main reception. There’s a walking path that connects the parking area to the lobby, making it relatively easy and convenient to get in and out on foot.

Since the area is not covered, your vehicle will get wet if it rains, and leaves from the trees above may occasionally fall on your car. Nothing major, but something to be aware of if you’re particular about keeping your car spotless.

A Quick Note About Monkeys

Yes, there are monkeys around the resort. It’s part of the charm of being so close to nature. They are cute to watch and often entertaining, but also very clever and little sneaky.

A few friendly tips to avoid any monkey mischief:

  • Carry any food carefully. They’ve been known to snatch things straight out of people’s hands.
  • Don’t leave food out in the open. They’ll definitely help themselves
  • Keep your room door closed, even if you’re just stepping out for a minute.
  • Avoid leaving phones, iPads, or bags unattended outdoors, some guests have had their gadgets snatched.

They’re great fun to spot from a distance, but a lot less fun if they walk off with your snacks or your tech. So enjoy the wildlife, but just stay a little cautious too.

Rembulan Restaurant Info

Rembulan Restaurant, tucked away at Pantai Beach, offers a quieter and more intimate dining experience. Perfect if you’re looking for something a little more peaceful.

  • It’s open for late lunch, no reservations needed.
  • For dinner, reservations are required, best to book it when you check in.
  • Rembulan Restaurant opening days may vary, especially during low occupancy. Check the resort schedule on arrival
  • If you’ve booked your Club Med package through Travelution Holidays, you can also let us know your room number and we’ll help reserve a table for you, subject to space availability.

On Your Last Day

Room check out is at 10:00, but you’re welcome to stay and enjoy lunch before departing. Just be sure to leave the resort by 15:00. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Settle the MYR3.00 per room, per night Pahang Sustainability Fee at the reception upon check out.
  • Leave your luggage outside your room and contact reception to arrange for pick-up.
  • Make sure your bags are clearly labelled. You don’t want another guest wheeling off with your luggage by mistake
