How Club Med Great Members Works

The points system is straightforward. You earn 1 point for every 1 Euro spent, which is automatically converted from Malaysian Ringgit at the time of your booking.

Your status points are credited the moment your booking is confirmed, meaning you do not have to wait until you return home to climb to a higher tier. Additionally, up to six adult family members living under the same roof can link into a single household account to pool points and reach higher statuses much faster.

How to Earn Great Member Points?

Earning points with Club Med is highly flexible and covers everything from your initial vacation planning to your day-to-day spending at the resort. There are four primary ways to build your points balance:

Upfront Booking Value

You earn points on the total value of your base Club Med package. This includes your resort accommodations, flights booked through Club Med, and your scheduled airport or ferry transfers. Every Euro spent converts directly into points.

Frequency Bonus Points

Club Med rewards you simply for showing up, adding a flat frequency bonus to your account based on the length of your stay:

1-Night Stay: +1,500 bonus points
2 to 7-Night Stay: +2,500 bonus points
8+ Night Stay: +3,000 bonus points

On-Resort Spending

Whenever you visit the spa, book an outside excursion, or buy a souvenir at the boutique, charge the bill directly to your room number. Every out-of-pocket expense settled at check-out earns additional points that count toward your status.

Friend Referrals

When you introduce a friend who has never stayed at a Club Med property before, you receive 2,500 bonus points credited to your account the moment they complete their first eligible multi-night stay. Terms and conditions apply.

When Do Great Member Points Expire?

Your Club Med Great Member points are valid from the exact moment your booking is confirmed until two years (24 months) after you return home from your stay. Because points are credited to your account immediately upon booking, the earlier you lock in your holiday, the longer your points remain alive.

For example, if you book a resort package one year in advance, those initial booking points will effectively last for a total of three years before expiring.

The Household Rule: Up to 6 Adults Under One Account

One of the flaws of standard hotel loyalty programs is that family member have to maintain separate accounts, which splits up your earning potential. Club Med eliminates this entirely with its smart Household Rule, which is especially beneficial for big families in Malaysia planning multigenerational vacations.

Pooled Points

You can link up to six adult family members, plus all children under the age of 18 living under the same roof, onto a single, unified Great Members profile. By consolidating everyone into one account, your family pools its spending power to unlock higher reward tiers much faster.

Shared Status Benefits

When your family travels together on the same booking, the entire cost accumulates under your singular household account.

More importantly, every family member traveling with you instantly shares your highest tier level. This ensures that everyone in your group experiences the exact same premium perks at the resort, such as early access or priority check-in.

Referral Rewards

You earn 2,500 bonus points every time you introduce a new guest to Club Med, and your friend receives an introductory discount on their first vacation.

To claim this reward, the booking must meet these conditions:

Minimum 4 Nights: Your friend must book a stay of at least 4 nights.
Non-Blackout Dates: The travel dates must fall outside of major peak holiday periods
Maximum 40 Percent Discount: The total combined discount on your friend’s booking cannot exceed 40 percent of the standard package price.

The bonus points will automatically hit your account after your friend completes their trip, helping you reach your next loyalty tier faster.
