Flights to Changbaishan Airport
There are no direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Changbaishan Airport, so you’ll need at least one transit along the way. There are several reliable airlines that operate on this route, including China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Shanghai Airlines.

Depending on your connection, you might fly through cities like Shanghai, or Guangzhou before heading onward to Changbaishan. Travel times can vary, but the experience is usually smooth with well-timed layovers.

Heavenly Lake
Heavenly Lake, perched at an altitude of 2,189 meters above sea level, holds the distinction of being the world’s highest volcanic lake, a title conferred by the Guinness Book of Records. Framed by 16 majestic peaks, this lake offers a breathtaking scene where white clouds drift across a vibrant blue sky, creating a picturesque view reminiscent of a jade gem set in the heavens.

Changbai Waterfall
Changbai Waterfall, a majestic sight with water cascading from the Heavenly Lake at an impressive height of 68 meters, making it the longest volcanic waterfall in the world. From the viewing deck, you can overlook the grand waterfall, where the two streams of water resemble massive flying dragons, adding to the awe-inspiring spectacle.

The best time of year to visit Club Med Changbaishan is from mid-December until February, when the ski season is in full swing. 

Changbaishan ski area is a picturesque spot nestled by a volcanic mountain, where fresh powder meets dense pine forests. It’s maybe one of the best under-the-radar places to carve some turns in Northeast Asia.

Ski or Snowboard Group Lessons
Once you’ve settled in, take a few minutes on your first evening to sign up for group lessons. These are divided by skill level, so it doesn’t matter if it’s your very first time on the snow or if you’re already confident on the slopes. You’ll be placed in the right group with professional instructors who know Changbaishan inside out. They’ll help you improve at your own pace while keeping the lessons fun and safe. Lessons are taught in Mandarin.

Ski Lift Pass Included
Your ski lift pass is sorted the moment you check in. It’s valid from your second day through to the day before you leave, giving you full access to the lifts throughout your stay. The pass isn’t active on arrival or departure day, which works out nicely since you’ll probably be focused on checking in or wrapping up anyway. With the pass, you can roam freely across the Changbaishan ski area and make the most of every run.

Ski Pro Shop
Traveling with skis and snowboards can be a hassle, so leave yours at home. The ski pro shop at Club Med Changbaishan has everything you need, from beginner-friendly sets that are easy to handle to high-performance gear for seasoned skiers and riders. The GOs will make sure your equipment fits comfortably, and if you want to switch things up based on snow conditions, swapping gear is simple and quick.

Easy Access to the Slopes
Getting to the slopes couldn’t be simpler. Instead of walking through long paths with your gear, a short bus ride takes you straight to the ski area. It’s smooth, convenient, and exactly the kind of ease you’d expect from a Club Med ski holiday.

If you’ve forgotten an essential, don’t panic. The boutique at Club Med Changbaishan stocks ski must-haves like gloves, goggles, and outerwear.
