Do I need a visa to enter Bintan?
Bintan is part of Indonesia. Travelers from many nations (including Malaysia, Singapore and other ASEAN countries) enjoy visa-free entry for short tourist stays. Many other nationalities qualify for a Visa on Arrival (VoA) right at the Bintan ferry terminal, which costs IDR 500,000 and is valid for up to 30 days.
Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months of validity from your travel date.
Are ferry tickets and land transfers included in my package?
If you booked a “Transport Included” package: Yes! Both your round-trip ferry tickets and the quick 15-minute air-conditioned resort land transfer between the Bintan ferry terminal and Club Med are fully arranged and taken care of.
If you booked a “Land Only” package: Your ferry tickets will need to be secured independently. However, your return land transfers from the Bintan terminal to the resort can easily be added to your booking before you depart.
How do I get from Malaysia or Singapore to the resort?
Whether you are departing from Singapore or the Malaysian mainland, reaching the resort is incredibly straightforward with two primary travel routes:
- The Singapore Route (60-Minute Ferry): The most popular and convenient option. You will catch a high-speed ferry from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) in Singapore directly to the Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) ferry terminal in Bintan. The smooth, comfortable journey takes approximately 60 minutes.
- The Malaysian Route (Direct Ferry via Johor): If you are traveling from Malaysia, you can completely bypass Singapore traffic and border checkpoints! You can board a direct ferry from the Pasir Gudang Ferry Terminal in Johor, which takes approximately 105 minutes to reach Bintan.
Once you step off the ferry onto tropical Indonesian shores, a dedicated Club Med representative will meet you at the terminal to guide you onto a clean, air-conditioned shuttle for the final, easy 20-minute drive straight to the resort gates.
What is the daytime dress code around the resort?
The daytime vibe is entirely Resort Casual. Swimwear, shorts, t-shirts, sundresses, and comfortable sandals are perfect for lounging by the pool, hitting the beach, and grabbing lunch at The Waterfall or The Terrace.
We highly recommend packing a pair of sneakers if you plan to utilize the fitness classes, wall climbing or the land sports courts.
What are the evening dress codes?

What currency is used inside the resort?
Because Club Med is an all-inclusive resort, you will rarely ever need cash on the property.
For optional extras such as spa treatments, boutique shopping, premium vintage wines, or out-of-resort excursions charges are seamlessly billed straight to your room using your digital wristband.
Is Halal food available in Club Med Bintan?
The restaurants at Club Med Bintan are not Halal-certified. Because the resort services a global and regional menu, pork and alcohol are widely prepared and openly served across the main buffets and specialty dining venues.
However, Muslim guests can still comfortably navigate the dining options with these tips:
- Vegetarian and Seafood Options: The main buffet (The Atelier) features dedicated, separate live-cooking stations, including seafood, and vegetarian dishes.

- Not Included: Flight tickets, ferry tickets, land transfers, travel insurance, visas, private sports lessons, excursions, laundry services, room surcharges, childcare for children below 4 years old, premium dishes and drinks, items marked with an asterisk (*), and personal expenses unless otherwise stated.
- Final Price: Rates are dynamic and may change at any time without prior notice. Prices are only confirmed once payment has been received and the booking has been successfully validated.
Age-Based Discounts
- Teens (12–17 years): Up to 20% off the adult rate.
- Children (4–11 years): Up to 40% off the adult rate.

Reservation Changes (Days Before Check-in):
- 60 or more days: A fee of MYR200 per person applies for amendments. However, the fee will be waived if the new booking is of a higher value, and you will only need to pay the fare difference.
- Within 60 Days: Subject to cancellation charges below.
Cancellation Charges (Days Before Check-in):
- 60 or more days: Deposit is forfeited
- 59 to 31 days: 50% of total holiday cost
- 30 to 15 days: 70% of total holiday cost
- 14 to 0 days: 100% of total holiday cost
Payment Schedule
- More than 60 days from check-in: A deposit of 20% of the total holiday cost is required to secure your reservation. The remaining 80% balance must be settled at least 60 days before check-in.
- Within 60 days of check-in: Full payment (100%) is required immediately upon booking to validate and confirm your stay.
- If your package includes airfare, 100% of the flight cost is required at the time of booking, regardless of the check-in date.
- Failure to settle the balance by the 60-day deadline may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
