Check-in starts from 3:00 PM, while check-out is by 10:00 AM. You can arrive slightly earlier at 2:30 PM, but there are a couple of quick things to keep in mind so you don’t get caught with unexpected fees!

• Arriving before 2:30 PM? If you arrive early, the resort will gladly look after your bags at the concierge so you can start exploring. However, please note that arriving before 2:30 PM incurs an Early Arrival Fee, which covers your resort access and lunch for that afternoon.

• Have Silver, Gold, or Platinum Status? You get to skip the standard rules! Club Med Elite members receive complimentary early arrival, meaning you can show up early and dive into the resort facilities without paying any extra fees.

• What if my room isn’t ready? Even with early arrival or elite status, your actual room may still only be ready by 3:00 PM. We highly recommend keeping a small day-bag packed with your swimwear, sunscreen, and a change of clothes so you can head straight to the pool or beach while the Club Med Cherating team gets your room ready.

All meat and ingredients used in the resort’s kitchens are Halal-sourced from certified suppliers, and no pork is served in the main buffet areas.

While the food is prepared following Halal standards, the restaurants do not carry an official Halal Certification from JAKIM. This is because alcohol (beer and wine) is served within the same dining premises as part of the all-inclusive package.

If you have concerns, the Head Chef or Restaurant Manager at The Mutiara is available to walk you through the buffet and point out specific dishes or preparation methods to ensure they meet your comfort level.

Yes, Club Med Cherating will officially close its doors on 11 October 2026. The resort is entering a period of major planned renovation to upgrade its facilities, rooms, and guest experiences. This “rebirth” is part of Club Med’s global commitment to elevating their resorts.

What You Need to Know:

• Last Day to Stay: 10 October 2026.
• Reason for Closure: Total resort refurbishment and modernization.
• Reopening Date: While an official date has not yet been set, major renovations of this scale typically last between 12 to 18 months.

• How Dynamic Rooms Affect Price: Club Med’s discounts are strictly tiered based on room availability. For example, the first 5 rooms sold for a specific date might have a base rate of MYR 2,200, the next 5 rooms will go up to MYR 2,250, and so on. If you are booking 10 rooms for a big family reunion your booking might span across two different price tiers, meaning the later rooms in your group could end up costing slightly more.

• Group Rates (20+ Adults): Club Med group rates require a minimum of 20 or more paying adults. For groups of this size, we can request customized packages, and private function spaces, directly from Club Med. However, please note: group rates do not qualify for Club Med Great member points, nor do they include status perks like the Gift Pass, complimentary early arrival, or room upgrades.
