Alps Snow Live at Taicang ALPS Resort is a large indoor winter park packed with fun for all ages.

Lessons
Ski or snowboard lessons are not included in your entrance ticket. If you’d like to improve your skills, private sessions with professional instructors can be arranged separately.

Equipment & Winter Wear
Your entrance ticket to Alps Snow Live covers the essentials: skis or snowboard, winter jacket, pants, helmet, and boots. You can travel light without worrying about packing bulky gear. Gloves aren’t included, so bring your own or pick them up at the shop. Goggles aren’t necessary here since the indoor slope is free of wind and harsh sunlight.

Shaxi Ancient Town
Step back in time at Shaxi Ancient Town, a 1,300-year-old water town filled with charming stone bridges, Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, and traditional markets. It’s a peaceful escape where you can wander cobbled lanes and experience authentic Chinese culture.

Taicang Wanda Plaza
Just a short drive from the resort, this mall has a mix of local and international brands, restaurants, and a cinema. Great if you want something nearby without heading into Shanghai.

The Bund, Shanghai
No trip to Shanghai is complete without a stroll along The Bund. This iconic waterfront is lined with colonial-era buildings on one side and futuristic skyscrapers across the river. It’s especially breathtaking at night when the skyline lights up.

Shanghai Disneyland

Nanjing Road, Shanghai
One of the most famous shopping streets in China. Here you’ll find everything from luxury boutiques to local souvenir shops, plus plenty of places to eat while you stroll.

Shanghai IFC Mall (Lujiazui)
Located near the Bund in Pudong, this is high-end shopping at its best. Luxury brands, fine dining, and even an Apple Store with views of the Oriental Pearl Tower.

The best time to visit Club Med Urban Oasis Taicang is usually during spring (April to May) or autumn (September to October). These months bring mild weather, lower humidity, and comfortable temperatures that make it easier to enjoy both the resort’s facilities and the Taicang surroundings. It’s the ideal season for exploring nearby parks, walking around Shaxi Ancient Town, or just enjoying a coffee outdoors without the heat weighing you down.

Summer in Taicang (June to August) can be hot and humid, but the good news is that the resort’s Alps Snow Live indoor ski dome is open year-round. Even in the peak of summer, you can step inside, ski on real snow, and cool off as if you were in the middle of winter. It’s a unique contrast and one of the standout experiences at Club Med Taicang.

Winter (December to February) is dry and a little chilly. You’ll need a jacket, but it’s not extreme. While the outdoor spaces may not be as inviting, the resort itself feels cosy and less crowded.

One important tip: avoid traveling during major Chinese public holidays like Chinese New Year, Labour Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and National Day Golden Week. These times see peak crowds, higher prices, and limited availability across China’s resorts.
