Malaysia Entry Requirements From 01 May 2022

Malaysia entry requirements has been simplified from 01 May 2022.

Malaysians with valid travel documents can enter and leave the country as they did before the pandemic, while foreigners will no longer need to apply for MyTravelPass. Travelers just need to fill in the travel card and verify their vaccination certificate before departure to Malaysia.   

Malaysia Entry Requirements

Before departure to Malaysia

  • Download and activate MySejahtera application
  • Fill in pre-departure form in MySejahtera Traveller section.
    • Fully vaccinated, digital traveller’s card will be issued.
    • Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated, digital home surveillance order (HSO) will be issued.
  • Verify your Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued outside Malaysia. If you have a verified vaccination certificate in MySejahtera, you can skip this.
  • RT-PCR Test, 2 days before departure
    Fully Vaccinated – Not required
    Children 12 years and below – Not required
    Partially vaccinated or not vaccinated (13 and above) – Required

No Longer Required

  • Travel insurance with covid-19 coverage. However visitors to Malaysia are highly encouraged to purchase a travel insurance as it covers travel delays, loss of baggage, medical emergencies and other travel inconveniences.

Arrival in Malaysia

  • Supervised RTK-AG Test within 24 hours of arrival
    Fully Vaccinated – Not required
    Children 12 years and below – Not required
    Partially vaccinated or not vaccinated (13 and above) – Required
  • Quarantine upon arrival
    Fully Vaccinated – Not required
    Children 12 years and below – Not required
    Partially vaccinated or not vaccinated (13-17 years) – Not required
    Partially vaccinated or not vaccinated (18 years and above) – 5 days
