Guide to Club Med Bali Food

Club Med Bali has two restaurants – Agung and The Deck. The Agung is located on the 1st floor of the main building while The Deck is located near the Water Sports area.

Agung Restaurant

The Agung restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it offers an extensive buffet spread of Indonesian, Japanese, Indian, Italian, Western and Korean cuisine. You can find something that suits everyone’s taste. For guests with a special diet, speak to the chefs at the restaurant and they will do their best to cook you a meal.

A choice of fresh fruit juices is available during breakfast at the buffet area, while complimentary house red, white and rose wines are served during lunch and dinner. Just ask the wait staff for a glass or two!

Our favorite food at the Agung include the pizza, miso soup, Indonesia mee goreng, Babi guling, beef wellington and not forgetting the strong rum & raisin ice cream!

The Deck

The Deck restaurant serves ala-carte meals and is open for late lunch, dinner, and late dinner. The late lunch and late dinner are the same menu. You can have a late lunch at The Deck after completing the check-in process.

The ala carte dinner requires reservations which can be made at reception at least one day before dining, subject to space availability. The restaurant offers a paid option to upgrade your dinner to a lobster dish.

Our favorites are the local dishes – nasi goreng with satay and nasi with beef rendang, available for late lunch or late dinner. The dinner has two menus (1 and 2), served on alternate days. In the event, if you are not full after your meal at The Deck, you can order an extra course from the menu or continue with buffet dinner at Agung Restaurant, subject to the restaurant opening hours.

Kids Friendly

Club Med Bali allows everyone to take a break from their busy lives, even parents! After breakfast, leave your children at the Kids Club and the Club Med GOs will take care of them from morning until evening. The kids club operates more like a daycare, rather than a roster of activities, as it includes all-day care, nap time, food etc. This leaves parents free to relax at the Zen Pool, go for a spa treatment or even learn a new sport!

Kids from 4 months until 17 years are welcomed at the Club Med Bali Kids Club.

  • Baby Club Med, 04 to 23 months – additional cost
  • Petit Club Med, 02 to 03 years – additional cost
  • Mini Club Med, 04 to 11 years – complimentary
  • Passworld, 12 to 17 years – complimentary

The Kid’s Club is complimentary for children aged four to seventeen. While the Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med is a chargeable service. It is recommended to pre-book the Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med service at the time of making your Club Med reservations due to limited space available per day. Club Med keeps the staff to children ratio low so they can provide more attention to the little ones.

In the evenings, Club Med has the “Amazing Family” program where parents can now create holiday memories with their children. Families will take part in fun-filled activities including family yoga, Twister, Jenga, treasure hunt and parties.

Nusa Dua Beach

The Club Med Bali beach is spacious, quiet, but it is a public area. Guests from other resorts and locals can use the beach, do some fishing, and even purchase drinks at the Club Med Beach Bar. There are also street vendors at the beach selling kites, souvenirs, sightseeing, etc, therefore it is recommended not to leave any valuables at the beach chairs.

Club Med guests are also required to always wear a wristband so that GOs and security personnel can identify and acord the benefits of the Club Med all-inclusive package.

Entertainment

When the sun sets, it’s time to party, Club Med style! There will be a different theme party every night with a dress code which is fun but not compulsory to follow. The dress code is published on My Club Med App. Download it from Google Play or Apple App Store.

The night starts with a theme dinner, followed by a family-friendly show at the theatre, including musicals and acrobatics performed by the Club Med GOs to talent shows involving guests’ children.

On Wednesday nights, it is usually the Indonesian cultural night. Indonesia food will be served at The Agung Restaurant followed by the Indonesia traditional dance show at the special open-air theatre.

After the theatre show, the GOs will lead guests in crazy signs, a Club Med signature dance and try to get everyone involved. With unlimited drinks, dancing, a playful atmosphere and friendly GOs, you have a recipe for an enjoyable time every night.

  • The Waterblow is one of the best natural sights in Nusa Dua. The massive blow hole shoots water up to 25 feet high into the sky during high tide.
  • A main attraction in Nusa Dua is the nightly Devdan Show. The 90 minutes high energy cultural dance performance takes you on a tour of different music, costumes, and traditions from all over Indonesia.
  • Camels do not come to mind when you think of Bali but that is what you will find at Bali Camel Safari in Nusa Dua. The camels will take you on a leisurely walk along the sand from Nikko Bali Resort. If you are looking for something unique to do in Nusa Dua, this has to be it.
  • If you are craving some babi guling, the famous Warung Pak Dobil is located just outside the gates of Nusa Dua. Get there early as it gets busy during lunchtime and sells out fast. The babi guling comes as a mixed rice set with a bowl of soup. It’s one of the best babi guling we have tasted.

The People

What makes Club Med different from the other resorts in Bali is the people. Everyone at Club Med Bali is warm, friendly, and works hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

During the day, the Club Med Bali GOs are working at one of the activities, boutique or in the restaurant. Come nighttime, they turn into performers in the theatre shows, leading dances and making sure you have a fun time.

The GOs comprise a wide range of nationalities, working together harmoniously. What this means, you can come from anywhere in the world and there is a high chance someone can speak your language here.

Come as a stranger and leave as friends

Go on a digital detox! Keep your mobile phones and take the opportunity to make friends from all over the world. The Club Med GOs are super friendly, so don’t be surprised if they come and start a conversation with you, or even join you at your table during lunch or dinner. This unique culture is something that I have yet to see in any other resort around the world.
